...even if it really is a modified Machina. I just have an intense love for giving unique things nicknames.
This is a picture I made for myself with the intention of using it as a TF2 spray, but I eventually gave up on trying to import it while simultaneously keeping its quality in favor of the Quick Brown Fox WANDERLUST cover art.
Anyway, picture. The rifle is my interpretation of the Sniper's "Machina" rifle, given a user-friendly overhaul and a real magazine--I haven't seen a single Sniper weapon yet that's got a place for all 25 rounds to go. I call it Shortstop because the barrel is relatively squat and has a much, much wider muzzle than the standard model, as well as a very foreshortened scope. The big battery-looking device in the base of the stock is what provides the forward momentum on the projectile (which is actually a solid carbon-steel needle with stabilizing fins that extend when it leaves the barrel) in place of a firing pin.
The hair was, as always, really fun to work on. I love dreadfalls, especially when they're intermixed with normal hair. I know that I don't really do a good job of showing it, but my fursona has always had what could be called Cajun and voodoo influences, and the hair is a way of helping to show that. Even if dreadlocks are probably more popular among artsy white girls than black people right now. I plead my French-Guatemalan ancestry on this one.
The jacket is kind of ugly, and the breasts look so, so fake here. They looked okay on paper, but when I was coloring it in I realized I looked like I had ugly manpecs, and I did my best to fix the problem. I could have put them lower, though. And not so close together, because they look like they're off-center.
I'm just going to pretend it's a snazzy shirt pattern and that I'm not a horrible filler artist.
Finally, I want to mention that eye. THAT EYE, GOD
I have never felt so amazed and proud of myself in terms of eyes before, but...just wow. It gives me kind of a menacing appearance, I guess. I dunno. It's probably best if someone else decides on that.
