I heard some people didn't like this episode or the character Babs Seed. Well.. here's her response.

There were many things to like. The already adorable CMC, a new, cute character with potential, a song that grows on you, also nice music video, Sweetie crying (it was heartbreaking), funny background events like the one with Pinkie and Spike, Scoots face when she was getting the kitchen timer, or found out, her cutie mark was just a blotch of oil or when the Crusaders found out the truth about Babs, and the golden Sweetie Belle. Oh, and of course Ponyvilles inhabitants being able to organize an event without the help of Twilights talent for organization, Pinkies party plans (even if she piloted a float, lots of other ponies did this too), Applejacks reliability, Raritys decorations, Rainbows Rainbooms and Fluttershys... well, whatever it is Fluttershy could have provided (I like her, I really do, but that doesn't make her a great organization talent (when animals aren't needed anyways)). I really like the main cast, but sometimes they make the other town folks look dangerously incompetent, even more so, if catastrophies are to be expected, which I'm glad wasn't the case here, apart from two crashing floats due to plot reasons. The town looked way more alive then usual because of this, I liked that.
Scoots was amazing throughout, but ultimately I got the most pleasure from their interaction; it just felt so natural and sweet. Different ponies they are, but focusing on what they have in common is what they do, celebrating their differences all the while. I certainly agree about the song too, except that I liked it from the start; I have a weakness for this sort of song structure, and I like Apple Bloom and Scoots singing together with Sweetie doing the harmonies! Very adorable.
The town was very much alive, yes! It was a very vibrant climax that way. There was just so much going on, but never did it feel too busy or distracting!
Well, you're obviously a fine pony episode connoisseur. :D
