This was one of those fun things that happens when you play with a doodle long enough that you see a whole new character. Instead of scribbles and failure. Haha! I used Adobe Kuler to get a basic palette https://kuler.adobe.com/# (I searched for "swamp") and went from there! Done in SAI paint.
