can't believe nobody commented on this...
her head looks a bit too filigrane, but still. the details, her curves, her pawpads! all make a wonderful picture. i want to sneak near and caress her while she reads.
the kitten near her sleeping on the cushion is a nice detail.

Sorry for the *extremely* late reply to this - but I'm curious - what does filigrane mean? I tried to look it up but couldn't find a definition in English ~.~...

This is old work of mine, so I see more than a few problems with it myself - and I'd do it completely differently now..

eh... my bad. fragile-looking might be a good lingual substitute.

my oxford-duden translates the german "filigran" into "filigree". maybe that helps?

what I meant was, the muzzle appears a bit too fine for the overall frame.

I keep meaning to study German. Now with going to EF, I have even more reason to.

I think I did make her face a little small, and her hair a little big. Oh well, live and learn =)

I fabricated the cover design from my imagination - so it doesn't match any existing book that I know of

I never considered what exactly she is reading - but since you ask - "Ender's Shadow" - because its a good book and everyone should read it ^.^
