In the world of Doobay, there are many different Goobus species and each live in their own villages with their own set of customs, beliefs, and culture. The Orange Goobus or Hunter Goobus are a particularly famous species, they are said to be the fiercest hunters of all Goobus species. They have perfected their art of hunting in groups not just with their natural saber-like teeth but also with spears. However, their hunting skills could never have prepared them for the raw savagery and cruel cunning of the species that rose with hate against all they peoples they deemed inferior to their own.

Males tend to have slightly larger saber-teeth than females do and also bear long horns on the top of their heads as a sign of sexual maturity. The longer the horn, the longer lived the Hunter Goobus is. Each village is led by a chief and in the ways of the Hunter Goobus, the chief must have a good-sized horn, be an efficient hunter and tracker, and be able to not only lead others but to work together with others. The chief must keep the best interests and safety of the village in mind.
