P.A.L. (Protective Assistant Lapin) is a recurring side-character in an ongoing roleplay between myself and dajinn, and is always upbeat and optimistic to a fault. He is a servant-class android who has received numerous upgrades in order to make him more resilient and capable of defending the family who owns him. He has died several times, but each rebuild of his body comes with a said upgrade, so it's not all bad!

One of the most recent upgrades he received was a pair of hovering robotic hands which he can control with his own somatic movements. Since he is very small (about two feet tall) and doesn't appear to pose much of a threat to any would-be assailants, it is a way to both surprise and overwhelm his opponents.

I have no idea what's going on with his hair; this drawing started out purely as a doodle, then an experiment with drawing hair and hands, and then I kept working on it over time, and this is the end result. I'm really happy with it.

I accidentally misspelled "lapin" when I hand-wrote the name, but until just now I had been certain that "lapine" was the correct spelling of the word. Learn something new every day, right? =P
