Testing out lighting/Shading blends, clicked in my mind a few days ago "What if i mixed the two colors together rather than slap them in the places where I thought they would go?" Doesn't help that it made him Spikes look oily..i think XD
I know, thats a wonderful arcade controller. Took an hour for the final result without colors, flats took like 30 min, and the shading experiment took about 1.5 days.

Actually, I think you're right. The blended shading technique does make him appear more oily, however, I think that the colors and shading are still a bit blocky. For blending the light and dark colors, I would suggest trying to get a smooth gradient. It takes practice and a lot of time to develop it, however.
In any case, Mr. Dragon is very sexy, and I like the pose and facial expressions. :)

It was my first ever time so itll improve if i keep on doing so :D far away it gives that oily look but like you said using smooth gradients would work rather than having it seem like the colors are just randomly chosen values that's assumed to be the right shades and lights
thanks for the input! :3
