This is my ugly mug as portrayed in oil at my current level of skill with said medium. Finished just a few short hours ago before dawn. I am a lot rusty with oils, but I forgot how much sadomasochistic pleasure it is to work with them.

I could have worked on it another few days and put in even more detail, but there is a point where it no long becomes a Painting, and become "To Real". At that point its no longer art, but reproduction.

Nicely done! I've been doing a lot of self portraits for class lately and mine don't come out nearly as good as this. But then, I'm terrible with charcoals. XD

But Charcoal is a totally different medium. Never liked working in charcoal my self, SO messy!

Like oils or any paint isn't :P
