In my gallery you can find pp3 & 4 for this mini-epic. But it was Gene Catlow who began it with these charming pages. I should have posted them with the follow up pages, but they weren't my work, so I refrained. Now that Gene is a member of FA, he's given me permission. Alas, I can't place them where they belong. I'll place them here then.
I forget exactly what sparked this though. A remark I must have made on an earlier drawing of a Teh Langgi that Gene had done.

I was asking a ton of questions about Teh Langgi physiology, and one of your replies was about how the distribution of their body weight changes as they age. (One of the reasons I'm so fascinated by them is because they are an actual species, fully realized and well thought-out) Once I actually started drawing them, you pointed out the details I was either getting right or wrong, and that's when this little guy showed up.
I'm with Gene on this one. Drawing Tengel for the Howlloween image didn't turn out as well as I had hoped when I started but once I realized what shortcuts you were using, it eventually hit on me. Besides, I did a good job of disguising Tengel's partially realized anatomy in all that Sauron Armor. Heheheh, I think I am beginning to learn...
