Long Answer: the author has said in his own words he likes keeping fatigues gender ambiguous, most of long time fans are pretty set on fatigue being a guy, and that two are " gay " but, as the comic/video has progressed the author has changed the set up slightly, and instead of just caving into either side he's simply left it up to the community to " figure it out"
