Our world is one
for us all
until the sky breaks
and the stars fall
We live within
a wonderland
of cog and steel
of grass and sand
Fria, our home land.
But times will change
darkness comes
shadows rise
we must build...
we must build.
Join the revolution to save this beautiful land...
An idea that came out of pure inspiration and turned into a bigger project.
I had the great honour to have
Lingrimm do all the characters and airships illustrate into the background I came up with when I read a part of their fascinating story and heard the music piece by
foxamoore come together piece by piece.
~ Totally check out the soundtrack to "Revolution"!: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9408841/
~ And totally check out Lingrimm's page where you will find yourself in a different world!

This is just beautiful.. all the color and details. What program do you use and for a piece like this how long does it normally take you to render it out fully? I am stumbling with still learning the ins and outs of SAI and pieces like this give me a lift and hope that I will someday be just as good.
Good heavens... I love the symbiotic blend of new-age and olden day architecture. The way they mesh together, yet stand as their own pieces is rather alluring. And the level of depth and detail shown here makes it even more charming. I would love to visit a place like this someday; a place that looks and feels like something from a surreal dream.
Wow this is just stunning, and the music!! I really feel like I am there. One thing looks out of place though, that white above the shoulder of the closest person to the left, it looks like someone took the finished piece and went over it with a white marker.. as I see the same detailing above him golden and bright and highlighted beautifully~ Same with the streak of red on the roof on the side of the guy in white. Everything else is so detailed it makes it look out of place.
But aside from that just wow, I'm just staring at this in awe!!

Absolutely stunning! This is one of the best pieces of realistic artwork that I've seen in some time! Your artwork and its own emotional impact, plus that of the song that accompanies it harmoniously, elicits a very powerful message—to always protect the land we love and continue to improve it, and never forget it. This just makes me wish for a world that looks and feels like the one in your masterpiece! Excellent work and project overall!
This is absoulutly beautiful and amazing, Just a masterpiece of art but of poetry and sound as well, the collabs I've seen from all of you are just inspiring for aspiring musicians and artists alike, very well done to all of you and as always - just one word to describe this ''Paragon''. ^^
Wow, would any of you believe me if I said that this picture is freakishly close to what I had in mind for the city that the story I'm working on takes place? How the outskirts seem to have simple residential buildings with more sophisticated businesses and towers growing ever larger as you reach the center of the city. Take into account how the title of this piece is close to the topic of my story plot and this art seems to creepy to be mere coincidence.
Of course, my story's city is pretty smoggy save for the center of the city with the outskirts being nothing but simple neighborhoods or even slums. However, this picture bears a freaky resemblance with my story that I've been working on for a couple months now!
With that said, I so love this artwork not only because of the fact it holds strong resemblance but also for how the scene is presented. It's almost as if the outskirts of this city is left behind in the line of progression while the central hub is all fancy and set up with only the most recent of advancements gracing it. No doubt this piece is called "Revolution", the simple folk are tired of being under the shadow of the supreme and are ready for change to happen, a revolution to take place and reform their way of living!
And just for fun, here's a quote I just came up with after seeing this picture and listening to the music that was made to accompany this wonderful piece of art. I might even use it in my work in progress! I suggest that if you do read the quote, you listen to the music as it'll make it sound a bit more epic. Hope you like it! :)
"Heed my words, my friends! A revolution for our future is at hand! We will take down the super-corporations who dare to take what is rightfully ours and refuse to care for our lands. We have stood in the shadows of darkness cast by these people for far too long. Now is the time for us to rise and allow our own shadows to be seen and our voices heard!
"Your time to worry on the status of your hard-earned land shall come to an end. Our suffering from unfair tax hikes will become a thing of the past. We will fight for a better tomorrow for our children. No longer should you be forced to worry whether or not they'll grow up and at the least find themselves a menial job in the oppressive central hub!
"Not only do we have a right to partake in the politics of this city as citizens; we also have the right to shape our future as we see fit! Never again will our voices be smothered by the oppressors no matter how loud they yell or how hard they try to keep us quiet! We will build a better future for us and our children, and nothing will stop us from attaining this goal.
"Until it is achieved, the revolution will not not rest! No matter how hard the oppression might fight back, the revolution will never die! This is our chance for change, our chance to build a better tomorrow, our chance to give our children a life that we adults could only dream of having at their age! If not for ourselves, then we owe it to them to make this revolution into a reality.
"We will succeed; we must succeed! Who's with me?!"
