Finally colored him after sketching him so many times. So this is the first time you guys can see him colored x3. Basically, this is the main character for another game concept I had called Crusader Gator. It's basically a game idea inspired by the likes of games such as Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones and La Mulana, where you're a treasure hunter hunting for treasure~
As for more personal info on Skale, here we go:
Name: Skale
Species: Gator
Age: 17
Height: 4' 10"
Personality: Very laid back, yet, very adventurous. He loves to go on new adventures, discovering new places to explore. His favorite expeditions are those involving "mythical" tombs, dungeons or temples, since he can prove they exist as well as snagging any treasures or relics that lie therein. He's VERY attracted to shiny things. It's almost like he's part crow. Loves to get his hands on all manners of shiny treasures; gold, jewels, and more. Although shiny treasures are his favorites, he does like to bring back relics and artifacts as well, to have add pieces of history to his collection. His favorite food is definitely rice. He can eat rice all day, every day.
Gamewise: He was to be the main protagonist. The game was to flow in a "Super Mario World" format, where you'd start off with a few known ruins to explore and raid, and as you find the treasures within them, opening more ruins to explore until you get 100%. It wasn't supposed to be a very story intensive game, more about exploration. And of course, Skale here would be eating rice to restore his health xD. And Onigiri, AKA Riceballs, would be what increases his max health. I was thinking of making it a 3D game, since this sort of dimension works best for ruin-based games, but since I have no idea how to do that at the moment, I don't mind making it a 2D game. But we'll see; there could always be a starter game that's 2D, and then a 3D one made later; you never know. However, the graphical style of the game, no matter which dimension it is in, is definitely to be a cartoony graphical style. Should Skale lose all of his stamina, he'd just get dazed and dizzy, saying "I've had it!" while he fell back. But of course he'd never actually die, since he's a toon xD. In fact, I planned on having certain "death" animations based on what happened. For example, he shooting into the sky like a rocket if you fell in lava, and leaving a gator-shaped hole in the ceiling. Then it'd fade out, and fade back in to the last continue point. So while I'm not working on this game straight away, it is nice to get this all out on the table and documented somewhere, as well as having concept art anyway; better for visualizations.
