Nice, in Fairbanks it doesn't snow as much as Anchorage, mainly because it gets too cold to snow as well as being too dry. The only snow we get is the snow that falls in October and early November. It never melts until March or April. and in those months it snows again :)
It's really rare to see snowfall in December, January and February because temps get to -40 or -50.

I wanted to go to an art college in Fairbacks, but didn't pursue it.
We usually have snow as early as October and it lasts until March...maybe April in the high country. There was snow in the mountians until June with is very uncommon.
Understandable. If it's 20-0, we don't get snow here, unless under bazaar weather patterns. I've been outside at -35...that wasn't fun.
