People refer to plugs and low-gauge ear jewelry as 'gauges', but this is actually a really incorrect term! Calling stretched ears 'gauges' would sort of be like calling your pants 'inches'!

Ah very true. Oh and is it true that the Septum piercing hurts? Like the worst then any other piercing? I had a friend who had one and it would not stop hurting till he took it out

Mine only hurt when it was actually getting pierced! Once it was in, it was only painful for about a day, and then I cleaned it regularly to prevent buildup. If your friend let it get crusty, then that could have exacerbated the pain he was feeling. The nose is so sensitive inside, that little bits of crust or debris can really make a fresh nose piercing hurt. However, if you do hot sea-salt soaks, it clears away the gunk and makes the jewelry clean and pain free! :3
