Mainly the thinner and more upright neck, as well as the softened features. The tauren chicks are still kind of harsh in the face, making it hard to tell the dif, if you just took the model faces and set them side by side.
Also, this being an anthro artist's rendition of a tauren, probably could be a dude. The features are stylized a bit to make the tauren look a bit more human, in nature, and some artists "pretty up" their males to the point of them looking feminine, so who knows lol

lol It's cool; I'm still a newbie, when it comes to WoW, myself. I'm a casual player (been a year, and just now at lvl 53 with my first active char) , but the draw for me's the somewhat detailed and immersive storyline. The char design's very steampunk fantasy, which I'm love/hate about, but I do note things about it, here and there. I think it's more of an artist thing than a WoW thing, though
