Actually, I'd imagine the fur would lie down flat... you'd pull a rolled elastic tube up your tail, unroll it down your tail to get your fur to lie flat, then put your tail in the 'sock'.
Barring that, astronauts may have to shave their fur, like how the first astronauts on Gemini, et al, had to.

I thought of that, but it looked even weirder. There's something inherently wrong about a fox with a skinny tail. Still, I guess that'd be more practical.
Maybe they'd have their tails surgically removed in the name of SCIENCE, but nah, it seems like they'd be too useful in a zero-G environment to lose.
