I'm trying to get some work done as well, though not necessarily on art (though I do need to start doing that again, or I'll never get any better). I'm writing up a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure), using some software that 
pointed me to, which is working out really well. It lets you work on multiple paths at once (each path turning into a hyperlink from previous related pages, which are easy to create. Simply highlight the words you want to make a link from, and select 'create link' from a drop-down menu), which is awesome since it lets me keep track of which pages I'm writing, and what's going on in them (in case I want to go back and make changes based on what I'm writing on a later page).
