Something I doodled and decided to clean up so I could show it to my Mom when I visit her in a few weeks for Christmas.
She's been going to cons since 2005 (I was underage and needed a guardian.... she kinda just kept going lol), she decided she better finally settle on SOMETHING to represent herself. She ended up deciding on a panda and requested I make her a fursuit head for her character as a present. She's going to make the rest of it! Nothing is set in stone and this is just a doodle to get her opinion on what she wants.
I know many of my watchers have not met her (and I'm sure some folks who have met her hasn't heard the story) she is missing her right hand from mid-forearm down. She lost it about 30 years ago due to a front-loading washing machine accident. She was removing the clothes after it had finished to put them in the dryer when it suddenly came on. The wet clothes wrapped around the arm and all that force removed it. She donated her hand to science - presumably some folks learned from it and she thinks that is awesome.
She's not shy about talking about her accident/ nub, but a lot of people don't like outright asking about it I've noticed so there you go.
I asked her if her little pandagirl would have a story about her nub - she caught in a poacher's trap, but got away.

Awww at first I was like "ugh..one of these people who find it HOT to have an amputee character" the guys who actually want to stick it in their mouth/butt or anything ¬¬

Haha, thanks! I didn't want random folks to assume so that's why I wrote down her story :) Plus, I'll be drawing more of her in the future, so might as well per-emptively clear up some of the questions I'd get.

Haha, she's in charge of the body, hand, and tail. She asked me to do the head and feet since she knew she couldn't do all the hand sewing and foam trimming without causing more damage to her hand.
She's planning to have everything done by next September for MFM, but I should be getting the head done in the next few months once I get her approval of the foamwork over Christmas :)

I'm lucky to have very... accepting parents. My Dad thinks it is odd, but is non-judgemental - he always points out he has no room to talk with his anime collection and his huge collection of designer figurines. My mom is just cool with whatever so long as I'm happy honestly. Sometimes they are TOO laid back, but I turned out alright.
I found furry when I was 10-11ish and finally was able to go to my first con at 15 thanks to her. I know at my favorite local con, once you hit 16 you can come without a guardian (I checked your profile and you should be almost there.)

lol. I know im almost there to go to a con. Just a matter of time. And your dad is the complete opisiate with the opinion on furries. Its... what most haters think of us.. And mom just dislikes it. Thinks the good furries(me, you and about 60-70% of furries) are the minor of the bunch.. Angers me about it. Atleast my 28 year old brother is somewhat ok with it(he ocassionally teases me on it but is cool with it.). Wish my parents wernt so stuck up about furries. I would be so much happier about drawing anthro art openly(I lock my door and draw that way, lol). Even be on here more openly(She knows about the site and dosent want me on here at all). But thank god I'm almost old enough to be on my own, and do my own thing. Things will be abit more peaceful and i can be at ease with alot of things. Wish they were sightly more laid back on my hobbies and interests. I dont care about anything else they nag me on, lol
