Okay here is the final version of Rackety's commission.
It has taken me quite a long time to finish this, and I must apologise for taking so long to complete it.
Hopefully the commissioner likes the finished piece.
Basically Rackety the raccoon is a character who loves mechanical or physical work and hangs out in his shed. So I ran with the idea and used a reference photo of my dads shed to base the background off.
I remember when I was little I would sneak around the shed discovering new tools or devices and that's where I got the idea for the young bear from.
Rackety is looking rather confused as to where his calipers have gone, and doesn't realise that a cheeky little bear has been sneaking around his shed.
Anyways enough babbling. This artwork was created on A4 watercolour paper using waterproof inking pens, prismacolour, copic and tria markers, prismacolor pencils, metallic and white gel pen.
Character belongs to Dan, artwork by Caboodles.

The coloring on this is just awesome, it's a masterpiece.
Looks like an illustration of a child-book, and i think thats good. I think you mastered the marker-prismacolor techniqe perfect, its so colorfull and has hard and soft shadows.
Just the best coloring i could imagine on a picture ;)
You just got a bit lazy at the paper basket.. you forgot to draw the grid on the "backsie" ^^
