A wonderful surprise gift from a good friend. We've had our ups and downs, but thankfully we've always managed to come back together again in the end, and I do care about him a great deal. I just hope he knows I always will, and that I am grateful to know him (and, of course, hope things will get better in his life).

It seems he's trying to make Nieve as presentable (and cute) as possible, or perhaps just festive. I imagine from time to time the lion does wear things on or woven into his braid mane (holly or mistletoe come to mind this time of the year), and in general he himself is something of a gift he offers to all those he cares for. It's a really sweet gesture and as you can see, he enjoys it quite a lot! Just don't think it makes him any less badass, or studly. Real men can wear ribbons as much as they can pink, and he'll be happy to prove to you how manly he still is.
