"Princess, why have you written 'no meetings' all over my clipboard notes?"
"Because we are in Canterlot, I wish to go SIGHTSEEING~ Isn't that why we came here?"
"No, there are quite a few meetings, and you have an audience with Princess Celestia regarding the art you are to contribute to their new city hall.."
"Oh hush Twiggy dear. Details details."

If only I had a canterlot background to put on it, haha.

Anyway, a new species of ponies I made. They don't look all that different compared to normal unicorns, but their coats, eyes and manes always go in gradients from white/grey to any hue of blue. Their manes also have a shine to them, almost like they were incased in ice. Their hooves also look like ice. Their cutiemarks tend to have something with snow/ice in it, as while the unicorns can have different talents, they all have the ability to use ice/snow magic. They're slightly larger than your average unicorn when they're fully grown.

They live up in the Great North of Equestria, and I need help with a clever name for their vast city. You know, like Canterlot, but, a cold place. Maretartica or something. Maneskov? Something like that.

They are ruled by a stallion, the Ice King. Despite his name, he is a gentle old stallion with a coat and mane of purest white, and icy blue eyes. He is many hundreds of years old, and the legend has it that he was created when the eye of the coldest northern storm froze in a massive pillar, and the Ice King was born within that ice and freed when Celestia rose the sun over the barren, frozen land. Since that day, it has been his duty to keep the northern storm at bay, allowing life in the once dead land incased in ice.

The larger mare is the Ice King's daughter, an outgoing, famous artist named Northeria. She tends to wander about in her own world, her imagination can easily run wild and she loves finding high-up places where she can relax and create her art. She can be a tad hard to understand sometimes as her mind works a little faster than her mouth, and thus she can accidently leave out a couple or words or even entire sentences while speaking, but it usually only happens when she is excited about something.

The filly is named Icicle Twigs, or Twiggy for short. She's Northeria's assistant and goes everywhere with her. She's an excellent planner and at times an interpreter for ponies who are desperately trying to understand what the hay Northeria is talking about. She's very focused on her work, but outside of it she's a tad skittish and nervous, and she can't seem to relax unless she has her clipboard and quill, despite Northeria's best efforts to make her socialize more during their travels together.



I quite like them c:
I'm not sure what to call their species, but I'm thinking of calling them Frost Unicorns, Northern Unicorns, Snow Unicorns or something of the sort.
Or perhaps Icecorns. Huhuhu.
Actually that's not so bad.
