I can give you a reason, since the female body of his is part of my idea.
First, it's not rebuilt, it's just a test model with no willing test subject to use with, Kaine just got his body damaged and need a new one badly. He dislike such idea of living as female, but for the scientific research he's willing enough for it.
And second, rebuilding a new spare takes money and time, which is Kaine found them really annoying.
