this little girl is a rescue rat from pets at home and is a christmas pressy to my partner who has named her layla (though i wanted to call her YANA as in the pet shop she was called yara. and YANA is a name in dr who and means You Are Not Alone)
in the pet shop she was house on her own, and they calm her to be 6 months but doesnt look a day over 7 wks :/ either she is a dwarf or she is serious malnourished though she isnt skinny. she is near impossible to handle and so going very slow with her, she is eating foo im giving her and she ate a load of veg tonight :)
she also has a broken tip to her tail :( and bad res which the staff didnt know about but i noticed straight away :/
not sure on colour thinking either champagne or topaz she has ruby eyes and she has capped markings with a few dots of a hood down her back.

well eventhough shes a little scared of us. she is very lively and climby, and when you open cage she'll try escape. cant wait till we can handle her properly, she looks like she'll be a bundle of fun. going to introduce her to my calmest girl rosie next weekend, hopfully she can help us make her less skitty
Sounds like a good plan! When I was re-socializing and rehabing my two rescued girls, I'd talk to them constantly, give lots of treats, and would let them run around in a closed area so we could all get used to each other :3 I've not had a problem on introductions though... My two rescues were thrilled to have each other, and were happy with my baby girl joined as well. The two older girls came from abuse and isolation, so it tugged at my heart to basically see them happily rush to one another and just sniff and cuddle!
Shes adorale, looks like one of my newer girls too. Although, PEts at Home is a horrendous place. She is probably ex stock that didnt sell. They usually "throw" them into the adoption centre to get rid of them. The donation hasn;'t been confirmed but most likely goes back into their pockets.
