Jakoru {Ja-ko-ru}
-Light Stealer
[The Jakoru are guardians. Of demon and light. The colored markings on their body is the essence of the light spirit. The horns, chains and jewelry are the signs of the demon, as well as the loss of their sight. They are a sort of chimera created from a demon, wolf, lion, shark and some dragon. Each represent a sort of essence that is captured in each body. In a way they are simply called Yokai, demons.]
The Jakoru are the opposites of Okigaisu, which in fact the Jakoru are only male while the Okigaisu are female. While Okigaisu have more 'light' features, Jakoru have more Yokai' features. The paw pad is distinct to their species and is a ward against 'light' when the pad is marking an area. They are made up of the same chimera build as the Okigaisu, but are more built like a wolf or a pride lion. Both the Jakoru and Okigaisu have dragon-serpent like mouths, the tongue is split and the saliva it produces is dangerous to other creatures but the two species. Unlike their female counterparts the Jakoru only have one tail. They also have the bindings of the Yokai where the Okigaisu have no items that are angelic.
Jakoru's fur is made up of light strands of color from white, light red, blue, teal, dark gray, etc. While the pigments of the markings are much darker and usually are either opposite of the body pigments. Meaning if one was light blue the markings could range from anywhere between black, dark gray, medium to dark blue, green, red and etc. Their horns are black, there is no change only if there are two horns or four.
Like the Okigaisu they are blind because the eyes have been burrowed out an eaten because their eyes are completely shut at birth. Jakoru are the manifestation of darkness which holds ties to the meaning of their name "Light Stealer" with that sliver of light. Much like Ying and yang. The two battle against each other tho love and peace maybe found amongst that fighting.
