More backstory: The eyepatch is from a war-wound. A full prosthetic -is- possible, but still ridiculously expensive. A glass eyes creep her out, so for a smaller amount, she had a kind of "bluetooth" input installed and hooked up to the nerves where her eye used to be. When the helmet is on, she can actually see through the helmet's cameras. Unfortunately, it takes a while to get used to seeing through both a camera and a screen at the same time, so she ends up covering one eye either way :/
