I like it, there are indeed possibilities there
Reminds me of my earliest material, back when I was all about frenetic playing doused in all kinds of attitude
sometimes I kind of wish I could recapture that feeling with my newer equipment, but i'm just so anal about everything being *exactly right*
speaking of which, what are you using equipment-wise?

I'm just trying to make interesting heartfelt music really and for me that's all that matters. My drummer is the anal one haha. So the dynamic there is good.
I recorded this line in with audacity through a Fender Frontman 25watt. Guitar being my Esp PB-401 (split rail pick ups). I sometimes use my line 6 Spider II for this but it mainly sits at our jam space. Did a few recordings with reason and various other guitars with the same amps. Fooled around with a line 6 pod too for one.

I remember owning a line 6 guitar port and for the time i had it, it was the best thing ever. I've tried a pod xt too, great device. So many things are possible, tone wise. The best part about the guitarport/pod devices was i could use it for anything...bass, vocals, guitar, anything you can plug in with a 1/4'' jack could be experimented with.
How are ESP guitars? I've thought about getting one since I've already tried most other brands, but wasn't sure of the quality.

Yeah they seem pretty intuitive and diverse. Gonna try vocals for the first time this weekend. So it will come in handy.
Esps are pretty nice. Got a real heavy low end and growl. Tight action for the low end. I didn't really want EMG pickups. Though they do sound really fat and nice. Good for metal blah blah but I like the split rails for the different tones you can produce albeit subtle and I am set in pretty much 4 settings out of the 9 rails you can utilize. Mine only has 22 frets so it fits my shorter stature I guess.
It really comes down to how it plays and that differs between players.

Yeah I fleshed this whole thing into a song. I have a rough draft of dubbed song 10 or something. It's changed some since but a lot of these melodies and riffs are in there. Really just waiting to put vocals to it so it's been a long time coming. I have like 10 other songs on deck..
