This was mainly a test, so it's a bit rough.
Red Arremer is the recurring enemy in Capcom's Ghosts n' Goblins series. He was also the protagonist of the spinoff game Demon's Crest (In that game, he was named Firebrand). I only got to play Demon's Crest briefly, but I enjoyed it. Red Arremer's the coolest gargoyle ever.
Red Arremer belongs to Capcom.

Yeah, Firebrand is an awesome dude.
There's also a cameo of him in the Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse, one of the Disney games made by Capcom. He's not really in it, but one of the bosses looks and moves like him. The game's also pretty damn good, give it a shot if you can.

Fuggin awesome, Red Arremer was the biggest bane of my childhood when ever he appeared in Ghosts n Goblins OR Ghouls and Ghosts. Just the same he was also one of my fav characters because he was so badass! And totaly flipped out when he was the character you get to play as in Demons Crest (also technically it was him in Gargoyles Quest on gameboy)
Excellent work :D
Also he got an updated look in a fighting game called SVC Chaos

I remember playing the NES version (haha illegal ROMs =[) a little while back. Very solid game, but quite tricky. I remember one section where you had to jump from the ground, across a lava pit, to these floating platforms, and your timing had to be spot-on. Capcom has a knack of making very tight platformers, and that's why I was grateful for savestates, although I wish I didn't feel the need to resort to using those.
But yes, wow, you've served up another treat for the eyes. I'd say the lines are somewhat too sporadic in the way that they cut up or overlap areas of shading, but you've already mentioned that this was a sketch, so that's not really an issue. You've already proven how strong your linework skills are anyway. I like how your shading tones desaturate into purple, and the gloomy sky colour compliments them very well. His expression is great. Incredibly unsettling and a little ghastly, but that's him. The anatomy completely blows me away, it's so good.
This is what I love about the guy: he doesn't look like a hero in the slightest, but it's exactly that which made the games so appealing. It was fun journeying around the demon realm as him
