Just noticed that it appears as though Bothan flaunts her furriness while Daji covers it to a certain extent. Specifically, I point to Exhibit A: Bothan is barefoot while Daji is where boots and gauntlets. Is this detail important to the plot at all?

I don't think that's very important, except that Daji is more strict about her uniform than Bothan is.
