Hopefully, if I can get things straightened out in terms of a job, where to live, and all that jazz, then I can get more writing done. I want to write, but lack the time and energy. Plus, I can't write when my wife wants me to pack and take care of other stuff.

I have to say, there's something interesting about this.
You say that you're gonna get rid of the first-person view point? *shakes head* don't.
The first person view is the entire charm of the story, I've done first-person before, I couldn't manage the charm.
Sure, a first person view works on a memo, but that's a different kind of charm.
This has a charm all its own.
