Now I'm imagining Mitzi chasing Rene all over the school to give him a hug too, and a bunch of other students getting caught up in it. :)

Rene knows those tails of his are a glomp-magnet, hence one of the reasons for his hasty retreat.

Indeed it is. The other is to make sure Nicole doesn't bash his head in for being hugged by a cute girl in her underwear. ;)

Actually I think he's one of the easier ones to draw. Weaver is difficult. ;>

Strange, the one time I drew Weaver (actually more than one, but the rest are sitting as unfinished scribbles for a comic I'll probably never get around too) I found it pretty easy. Go fig.

I think my issue is I draw Weaver in a very specific way, and I'm trying to keep consistent so she doesn't go too far off model (this is for my purposes, NOT for anyone who draws her in their own style, which I love). I draw Weaver with this sort of trapizoidal head with the mouth at the end of the muzzle, as opposed to the muzzle being its own entity, like on a proper tapir. This limits her range of facial expressions, which is supposed to be part of the joke, and is also a great big headache for me. ;>

Also hard to draw for similar reasons: Zeke! Boris! Tyrone! Karen! Boris! ;D

This is awesome, Carlito. I love how Mitzi is the pretty glittering light of heartfelt goodness within the cold and inky realm that is Jet. AND that she's so unexpectedly strong. ;D

Yeah she's kind of a powerhouse. That bubbly cheerfulness tends to be contagious, so maybe Rene abandoning Karen isn't quite as evil as it seems

Oh, no. I understand! over half of my characters are gay or bi. >.> the ones that aren't are either females or undisclosed, but the whole undisclosed means I want them to be gay, but I am trying to balance some things out. :P

Seriously, I lol'd when I saw this. Never would expect such a cheerful and bubbly person to be able to break every vertebrae in your back with just one hug. Totally worth it tough. Love Rene's hasty little retreat on the bottom there.

Hehe...as Rene and I discussed last night, if you think about it Mitzi and Karen actually aren't all that dissimilar. They both insist on running with bad crowds out of the goodness of their hearts, they both manage to retain some unwavering spirit of innocence despite it all, and neither one of them's playing with a full deck. ;D

Hm I hadn't thought of that but that's true. Just that they cope with the situation in two entirely different ways.

Yeah, one's happy all the time and one's sad all the time. That's Sesame Street simple right there. ;>

And I love Karen's expression, looks like Mitzi doesn't know her own strength.

I swear I never intended to keep drawing Mitzi in her underwear, but they're in a locker room, the odds of it are pretty good. It just seems that every time she is in her underwear, there's the camera. And she is pretty strong, growlithes aren't exactly petite little puppies, they're kind of burly.

Even so, given her cheery and friendly nature (as well as being a bit of a ditz) it does make her seem like she doesn't know her own strength.
Still I can't really help thinking Mitzi in her underwear will be a recurring theme given at the start of the current fight, there she was. Nevertheless she's cute enough anyway.
