THE WOLF AND THE RABBIT:
The battle has gone on for several hours. No quarter is given nor is any expected and neither combatant has gained any advantage over the other.
For the Yautja, this will be a battle to remember. To tell stories and to display the humans skull would earn Him much honor.
For the human losing will not only mean his death, but the deaths of others the alien would certainly stalk afterwards.
It’s hunters pride versus the need to protect life. Can either motivation truly be more valid than the other?
And in the end, who’s will prove greater?

In a sense, the Predator's need to hunt is more important than just trophies and bragging- that's just evidence to back it up.
In Predator society, *everything* is based around how good a hunter you are. Good hunters have higher prestige, access to better equipment, more chance to gain a mate, to hold leadership positions, to not be killed the moment you can no longer hunt due to injury or infirmary because you obviouslly have much to teach other Predators...
In a very real sense, the Predator is fighting for his life, too, though for completelly different reasons and context.
