My History of these soaps!:

So I have been getting contact caffeine soaps since I first saw their banner up on this site perhaps I'd say about a year and a half ago. :) I instantly fell in love with the whole plan of the product, with the epic adorable labels and all of the super awesome and interesting scents and scent combinations that they've had! I just had to get one. I think I got a couple at first. An absinthe and a "no dragon smoke" for my boyfriend :b

When I got them I got an adorable little orange dreamsicle fish. and I just omg. I was blown away with the scents! There was a little vinyl paw sticker on the box that I pried of and kept ^_^ (on an mp3 player right now I think) I just omg. The absinthe soap filled my bathroom and even my room (of our new appartment) with the smell that I just omg. I love so hard.

Then the little orange soap was in the guest bathroom and made that whole bathroom smell of sweet orange creamsicle oh gosh. Those lasted a very long time.

I absolutely had to track them down on any site I could find and let them know how much I loved their stuff and wanted to do art for their labels SO bad! :) I then entered their next contest for a label design and free 6 pack of soap. and two of my label designs were picked! oh gosh I was so happy :) I donated one free 6 pack to someone else and of course got the two soaps that I had my label done on plus a few others :D The pineapple paprika I really was curious about as it is such a unique scent! I wasn't positive about it when I had it but, well, I just recently got another one and that one (out of all of these) is the only one I got for myself ;) so... even though it is an odd scent to me I still love it!

Hmm, Later while I lived in Virginia, for christmas I got everyone in the household some soaps! :D including the game on, (which omg smells like mtn. dew, but almost smells like lemongrass as well which, I LOVE LEMONGRASS) Mr. Pepper, which now seriously any time I open a Dr. Pepper or anything similar I think of the SOAP ... lol. I got the creamsicle and cupcake for his mom, absinthe for me since, oh gosh I just love that one. Plur, and Beerhound! (Beerhound smells like BEER. JUST LIKE BEER. it's insane :D) and I can't even begin to explain just... how. intense. and exciting Plur is. (also MLP "energy") It's just overwhelmingly like a dream of citrusy candy goodness that makes your soul just dance. Just oh god. I don't even know which one i like more Plur or Absinthe, though I guess they're different mood scents :b

ANYWAYS: Frankly I have a couple scents for each and every different place I've lived in the past year and a half. and those really meant a lot to me in their own ways. So every time I smell these it brings back memories.

Product!:

The caffeine of them just blows my mind. If not for just the scent that's just fabulous in each one of them, the caffeine really makes my skin feel clean. Just cleaner than I've ever felt with any soap ever. It tightens the skin a tad and gives me a boost, specially when it comes to needing that extra energy to get things done. The soaps also last just forever! I have never had a problem with one disappearing too fast at all. even the tiny samples! (unless they're constantly under running water. Which I freak out if that's the case. I will craft a specific and separate ledge for these soaps in particular NOT because of cost but because I just don't want my soap do disappear evarrrrr. They're just too amazing) After a VERY long while it may get a layer of white and slightly dry perhaps again, after a very long time of sitting) (which for example, I just put a bar of dove soap at the bathroom sink. and after about a week it's completely cracked on the top with brown ... oh god I kind of want to throw it away already. but that could just be condition. I'm not sure) all I can say is that these things not only tighten your skin but they also are soft on them at the same time! just a treat!

The company owners (lack of a better term atm) Are also very wonderful and very professional. Also incredibly creative and out of the box thinkers on their own! They're constantly bringing in new ideas and are even open to scent suggestions!

The labels!:

As I mentioned, I have had the honor of doing two labels for them and I'm so stoked to do many more in the future! It's such a great idea to give so many lovely artists the opportunity to shine in something that so many people will enjoy! As each sticker is an artist's custom work for the label and is a sticker that the customer can stick just anywhere! :)

These are the three separate sets of 6 soaps I ordered for holiday distribution! :) (minus about three or so haha for local friends family) Contact so graciously included an extra whole soap on my third 6 pack order! So very thoughtful! ^_^

Basically I have ordered from them several times and all through those times they've grown and changed products, I've been sad to see some soaps go but stoked to see the new ones that take their place! :D as I also have the couple that I will never ever forget and will always keep around.

The website is just a joy to look through and I spend hours just PLANNING for what I want. As I often have a hard time settling. But just figure eh, I'll get the other ones soon >:D

I also am kind of a stickler for spending money. And I can't say I have ever even bothered thinking about the cost of these. It's one of the easiest "the product is worth the money" situations for me! The smells make me smile, The feeling of them makes me smile, the colors make me smile, the designs and collectability makes me smile. And gifting these to friends makes me smile :) Smiles all around! Frankly, when someone tells me they haven't gotten a soap from Con*tact or even haven't heard of them, I do a double take.
