Really liked a picture in a magazine I subscribe to, and did my own version, quite different than the original. The magazine is actually packed away in a box right now so I can't remember who did the piece I based this off of, but there we have it anyway. I really loved the subject's shape and the use of true blacks, which I don't typically use in my artwork.
F5 for high quality.
Something about the piece reminded me of my time in rural Manitoba.
I have a gun like this in real life, with a scope and everything. Don't get too excited though, it's just a pellet gun. The one I had when I was out in rural Manitoba was not, though. It was a real rifle that used real bullets, albeit small piddly ones of course. I was hoping to catch a rabbit for dinner on the multitudes of acres of property I lived on at the time. Never did, though!

The rifle and total whiteout reminded me of Simo Hayha: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4
Lies! It's all secrets and lies! There is no such thing as MINUS temperatures! The lowest it goes is 0 and that's just in case of some sort of scary emergency where the world goes mad and it gets REALLY cold! :p
Seriously though, love the little bit of red in her cheeks and her goggles! ^_^
