Another exception to the "no jewelry for thyself" rule! I am a HUGE fan of geocaching (I cache under the same name: icanhaszombie)
Geocaching, for the uninitiated, is like a worldwide GPS treasure hunt. People hide "caches" which can be containers as big as an ammo box to as small as a magnetic faux bolt (I've seen both) and you use your GPS to get close and then find it using the clues. In the cache is, at the very least, a log where you can add your name and see who has been there and from where, and usually some little trinkets which you can take so long as you add something as well. It's all a lot of fun and an excellent way to get outdoors.
Anyway, this is the byzee beez to butterflies weave, done in the geocaching logo colors. The rings are actually from the first batch of rings I bought to experiment with chainmail; thus they are machine cut, with ugly ends, instead of saw cut. Since it's a personal project I don't mind much, but I wouldn't do a commissioned piece in them since they can snag on clothes and body hair (ouch!)
As a weave, it is flat and super stretchy. It's wide but thin so it's very comfortable, and it wears wonderfully.
