TJ is a little bit excited to have the tree up and decorated, even if he finds the reasons behind the holiday a little bit silly. The tree was just about done, but his parents forgot the most important thing--the star at the top!
While his dad went to the kitchen to get more eggnog, TJ decided to take matters into his own paws. He deftly climbed the tree--all seven feet of it, and tried to place the star in its rightful place. TJ didn't even notice that he was knocking off the other ornaments in his haste to make the tree perfect. Hopefully he won't be in too much trouble, it would be a pretty lousy winter festive season if he didn't get any presents.

I have the glass spike (from Payless, $0.99) and a little mouse sleeping in a walnut shell that my aunt made for me. Those are on my tree. I also have a bunch of Christmas Tomte on moons, but these are from the 1930s, and are worn out and delicate, so they don't go on the tree.
