This piece is my proverbial "kicking at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight", with regards to a new paradigm in so-called wild animal "conservation", where certain highly influential people are starting to convince more and more folks that if wild animals can't be saved in the wild and ONLY in the wild, then it is much better and far more "ethical" to allow them to slip into so-called "dignified extinction" than to subject them to the so-called "slavery" of captivity.
