What is this? The newest doll craze? A possessed toy? A space invader in disguise? Nope!

Meet “Teddy” Petie’s first fully functioning Robot and AI!

Due to messing with pokegear, pokenavs, poketech, and other small tech for most of his life Petie has natural skill as a machinist. Due to prodding from various sources he’s been taking lessons as of late to get better at it… one of the people who’s teaching him is Rose’s friend Jenny… yes the Jenny who created her own little robot army of servants and an insane diapering conveyor belt machine. Petie was skeptical about what he could learn from her at the start too… but after several lessons both in robotics, basic mechanics, basic programing, and AI programing she gave Petie a daunting assignment…

Build a working robot.

So that’s what Petie did. Buying one or those “Singing & Dancing Teddiursa” dolls they have for toddlers he gutted the toy and got to work installing a light plastic mechanical skeleton/framework and a programing an AI. For the heck of it he even installed some stuff from all the tech he has lying around and some small video cameras for eyes… the end result was Teddy here… who is only half as creepy as him empty soulless eyes might lead you to believe. Some noticeable features of him include…

- A simple AI programed to follow through with basic instructions (it has difficulty processing anything too complicated or wordy though) that, completely unintentionally on Petie’s part, has room for growth and personality. To this end it has taken to learning a few of Petie’s habits and mannerisms resulting in a “Baby AI” that functions at its tasks but enjoys being cuddled and will break out with prerecorded baby wails if mistreated… among other habits it’s picked up from Petie.

- Wirelessly connection to the internet and Petie’s wrist-mounted pokegear. This allows Teddy to search for information, videos, and songs and upload them to Petie’s pokegear (or even play the songs over his own personal speaker) as well as being able to record and upload both video and audio that the robot sees and hears to Petie’s pokegear… making Teddy an excellent spy robot if Petie ever considered using him as such. Petie can also communicate with Teddy through his pokegear.

- Able to toddle and maneuver with a small amount of dexterity as well as able to sort of hold things in its stubby paws. Teddy unfortunately has balance issues and has trouble righting itself when knocked over or it falls down… which is why Petie will usually carry Teddy (which the light plastic frame allows) whenever they’re going someplace bump or that would be difficult for him to navigate.

- Able to “Talk” roughly using a voice box Petie salvaged from the original doll giving him a childish squeaky tone that isn’t quite annoying but gives the impression Teddy is less than three years old. Past this Teddy mainly talks only to respond to commands and orders but can uses single word sentences to get his point across from time to time.
