Man have you played SAGA? It's the first historical game I really dig so far - caved in and got some Normans for it. You can get good quality plastics for Normans, Saxons, Danish and Vikings now, and can proxy or kitbash for Welsh, Bretons etc.
Having trouble drumming up the urge to paint them though - painting some Infinity Ariadna instead and loving it.

Less exciting than anyone's fiction. I'd really wanted to draw a testudo or shield wall - something like that. I also wanted to have really big areas left black, playing around with inking more. And I really feel like I don't draw full pictures enough - that I should. If someone's fighting, where are they fighting, who are they fighting? And trying to build more of a sense of space.
