A buddy of mine built one as well, but his was on nerf recon barrel instead of the longstrike.

the mechanism is the same, so about 150 feet.

Man I need to replace my long shot XD it throws like 40ft now because I left the spring pulled back when i stored it a long time ago.

I shoots about 150 feet. so yeah it's a little on the powerful side. =)

We are selling range increasing addons to any nerf gun with a bayonet mount. (recon, long shot, longstrike, rayven, deploy, etc etc) any one that can take a barrel accessory.

We did build one on a Stampede (will have to post a pic of it later) but it's currently being modded again so it's not ready for the lime light yet.

haha I work for toys r us so yeah I know which ones are cool looking, gotta admit the vortex series would look cool like this

I agree it would look cool, but this mod wouldn't work on the vortex guns... it only makes the streamline darts (clip fed) shoot further.
