yea, i know this was Senturies ago, but hey! i wanted to draw my RL vertion!
i till suck at drawing humans in tablet >_> atleast i did the base of the sprite on paper! ^_^
now i look at it, there is aura missing, i'll fix that latter

first i did the design into a paper (with pencil and all)
i skanned that and make it small (the design was the whole sheet-size)
latter i started "coloring" the character on top of the design layer.
using photoshop's tool of "pencil" ofcourse (at the same place that the brush one) to not have that blury efect.
it might be a trouble in the begining, but latter it starts having it's form. so you can guide on that
