-shrugs- I don't know if she meant it to be a parody. I assume she says it can be male/female/whatever because the character represents something that doesn't have a gender, so it doesn't matter what form it's drawn as.
As weird as those herm/multi-breasted/whatever furry characters can be, it's probably best to let people express themselves the way they want to without feeling like they're going to be mocked or anything because of it. That's what this fandom is about, right?

It's a common stereotype that furries prefer to represent their genders as ambiguous or fluid, and a lot of unoriginal characters conform to this. I thought perhaps PS's notes in the corner was just venting a bit of frustration with this stereotype.
