Here is a little lookie-loo at my bone corner. This is where I work on Sophia for a few hours each night after a long day at work on commissions. I'll upload a better picture of her soon (I hope) as I have made a great deal of progress with her...but I keep putting off doing her feet. Its going to take me a long time to figure out how all those teeny-tiny pieces go together
Currently, as you can see on the table, I'm in the middle of arranging and assembling the vertebrae that make up her tail. I won't be attaching it until she's pretty much finished, as it is very fragile and I really dont' feel like re-glueing it back into place each time I bump it as I put on the other pieces.
The fingernail polish remover, and q-tips are extremely important (at least for me they are)...Fingernail polish contains acetone. Which is a paint thinner (makes sense right?). Acetone can help disolve/soften super glue. So, when I make a mistake...be it glueing something upside down or in the wrong order, in comes the polish remover to help fix my mistakes. (Which is stressfull...hoping the glue gives way and not the bone itself)
All thats left really is the tail, and legs. Oh, and her sternum.
As you can see in the background, my curiosity cabinet is slowly filling :3

it's so nice to get the body and head together, but those feet bones are absolutely brutal if they haven't been kept together during cleaning, i feel for you!
Also, sad news, that fox carcass got washed away in the storm the other night, so I can't get you anything from there :<

It is a very nice feeling to have the spine and head connected, and her ribs in place. Its pretty reassuring and encouraging...until I open the baggies that contain her ankle/wrist joints and I just wanna cry ;_;
That's okay <3 I found her other rib, it was in a different baggie for some reason! And I found some claws on ebay, and extra toe bones. Hopefully they are the toe bones that I need so badly xD
