We were learning about the industrial revolution and the depression and stuff in class today, and these just kinda happened.
Top- he's holding a train, signifying the massive railroad push that was made at this time
Top Left- He's trying to get oil off his paw. which signifies the huge growth in oil companies, mainly Rockefeller's standard oil
Top Right- He's holding a steel rod and standing over an unconscious chibi (you can't prove anything), signifying Carnegie's huge steel development in America
Center- He's getting ready to harvest the corn(shut up it's corn), signifying the still largely agricultural south
Lower Left- The odd manhand thing is taking his booze, signifying the prohibition that outraged so many people(note: I don't drink irl)
Lower Middle- He's poor and sad D';, signifying the great depression that impoverished so many
Lower Left- He's found a pile of gold! Signifies the Gold standard that was in use during the industrial revolution, which held an extremely stable dollar but led to too much deflation
TL;DR have a history lesson
