neko-maya answered my call for glowy art journal, and turned this around at an astonishing speed. And for some silly reason, I apparently wasn't even +watching her. That's fixed now. ;)

This is mostly Neko-maya's concept, and I really dig it. :) Rooth and Aram were exploring some ruins (as depicted in some other arts in my gallery), and Rooth found some magical tablets that triggered off his electrical aura, releasing storm sprites and feeding him with an ancient power, ultimately creating this "Thunder Orb".

What does it do? Who knows! But Rooth sure finds it entrancing. It's glowy, and powerful, and blue, and electric, and mysterious. What's not to like about it?

Yep, this won't be the last time I commission Neko-maya for stuffs.

All these glowy pics will be projected onto one or two of my vaulted walls in my livingroom during my annual Solstice Party. This year's theme is "glow", so I'm featuring glowy art from my gallery. I realized just a few days ago that I had somewhat of a dearth of good glowy scenes -- I have some, but not enough to fill a good slide deck. So, I put out a call for more, due by next Friday, and got several bites. :) Looking forward to the rest of 'em! I'll post them as they come in, even though I'm behind in posting some Oct/Nov/Dec commissions. I'm on break now, so I'll be able to catch up tomorrow prolly.

Tip for commissioners: be ready to pay extra for speed, and if you offer it up-front, it may help get accepted, and they might not even ask you to pay the extra. Artists tend to be genuine and professional, and will likely not try to fleece you if you're up-front with them.
