So there's this book called the Ars Goetia, right? It's basically just a list of everyone that lives in hell. One of them is this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forneus
I thought that "Satan's aquatic linguist love captain" sounded like a pretty solid fursona. Hence, that happened.
Also, yes, the same book was used to pull material for the Megaten games, because they pull from every religious mythos they can. :)
