This is the first I've seen of Ruth's genuine sad face. I feel like thee's a good backstory already planned out here. Can't wait to see it!
And he's still got that mug...

And disappointed. The party story arc hinted at something akin to this during the car ride to Sasha's place as I recall. This just puts a solid face on it. I'm guessing it isn't long after Ruth's mom left.

This is some of the stuff you draw thats really awesome to get to see. It just deviates from what I consider the norm of your comic and the characters themselves. AM has been in my life for around 10 years now and seeing more and more of the characters is always a treat.
