This is the first of a few setting pieces I'm going to write down. It's basic setting/background for my sharxolotl gal, Gina.
TL;DR, she's an escaped lab specimen hiding from other, much nastier lab specimens in the reef near a resort town in the not-very distant future.
Of course she's not the only sharxolotl to escape the lab. A number of others did. <s>and then Tay sold them off as adoptable pets</s>
