Props to anyone who can name where the quote is from, haha.
There was originally going to be a waterfall in the background, but I couldn't get the composition to work out without making the piece three times as wide with a lot of woodland in between. I do like extremely long landscape settings for some pieces, but this isn't one of them. Additionally, the FUR ON THIS THING LOLOLOL I tried a couple of different shading styles before I was satisfied with his fur.
