Actually, that makes VERY good sense. Even Batman needs funds, and he's got plenty of them since he's billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. But when he's actually Bruce Wayne, or undercover in another country (he's a Master of Disguise), there might be times that he needs to get funding for his various gadgets and Batmobile auto parts. Not to mention he needs to maintain the million-dollar deals and affairs of the Wayne Foundation.
So, using his genius mind, he invents this little piece of plastic that's super high-gear encrypting and firewall technology under the surface. This way, when he's Batman, he can fund the affairs of Bruce Wayne, and vice versa. Thanks to the High-Level Firewalls and encryption, his bank accounts, transactions, transaction locations, and attached ID information are completely safe from the smartest hackers and most harmful computer bugs and Spyware, and even the US Government, keeping both of his identities safe from the public eye and the eyes of his enemies.
Plus, when some high-level hacker tries to get in, their computers explode.
