Wow you really captured the desert well, I remember it having this ethereal, dream like brightness about it. This was my favorite battle in the game, and this is a great tribute to it. Seriously, job well done. :>

same here! The only other game I played as much on the ps2 was FFXII. I replayed SotC at least 14 times on my last memory card, hahahah.

This is my favorite Colossi too. I loved that game, always felt so bad after slaying each one.

I bought the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus box-set recently. I fell in love all over again. Both of them really broke the mold. Nothing else really compared to them then or since. They feel more like interactive art than actual games at times.

Also, I found this really awesome ref sheet which shows the actual sizes of the colossi. Phalanx, the colossi you depicted truly is the most massive opponent in the game, being nearly two times as long as the statue of liberty is tall.

I bought the SotC/Ico HD set on its release day, so much joy was had! The only game I've come close to being as touched by was Journey. SotC in particular left a huge mark on me.
